New research released by an online estate agent has offered insight into ‘why we move’
So what really gets us Brits moving? According to the data, released by Tepilo, a quarter of British house buyers suggested the answer to ‘why we move’ this year chose a property based on its proximity to a good local pub, nearly a third bought a property as an investment and over half were swayed by good local transport links.
The study, which questioned 2,000 home buyers, also highlighted the property features persuading people to buy.
Location, number of bedrooms and size of garden remain the main factors with 65% of buyers, 56% of buyers and 41% of buyers respectively.
Perhaps surprisingly, only a third of respondents listed layout of property as an important consideration, but kitchen diners are still popular (29%) and downstairs toilets seem to be a hit with 19% of respondents listing them as an important consideration when buying a property.
