Quick Move Now received a visit today from Stephen Collins, South West agent for the Bank of England to discuss the quantitative assessments of the current economic climate across the South West region.
Stephen is one of the Bank’s twelve agents who by gathering information make quantitative assessments on a monthly and annual basis in their respective regions.
Following on from discussion with around 700 businesses, reports compiled by the agents provide the Bank of England information on the state of business conditions, from firms across all sectors of the economy. The report does not represent the Bank’s own views, nor does it represent the views of any particular firm or region.
Danny Luke, Business Manager for Quick Move Now said;
It’s an honor and a privilege to contribute to such an important document and I very much look forward to seeing the overall summary published.
How is this report used?
The Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee uses the intelligence provided by the Agents, in conjunction with information from other sources, to assist its understanding and assessment of current economic conditions.
As a business, Quick Move Now are often asked to contribute to official reports and summaries. Most recently Hywel Luke, Director was invited to take part in a Government business initiative which was held at 10 Downing Street.
