According to a recent survey carried out by Quick Move Now, nearly 55 percent of the UK public completely underestimate the number of house viewings it takes to sell a house!
54.7 percent of the UK public believe properties sell after an average of six or less property viewings. In reality, the average number of house viewings it currently take is 19 before a sale is agreed, and that figure is on the rise.
The research, carried out by Quick Move Now – the UK’s largest and original cash home buyer – to mark its 20th anniversary, found that the average number of house viewings it takes to sell a property has risen from 11 to 19 in the last three years.
Speaking about the research findings, Quick Move Now’s managing director, Danny Luke, commented:
It’s clear that the public are vastly underestimating the average number of viewings it takes to sell a property. 54.7 percent believe properties sell in an average of six or less viewings, and with 30.54 percent of the public listing the time it takes to find a buyer as their biggest worry when selling a property, it seems it is an area of concern for many people.
The UK property market is currently facing some big obstacles. Ongoing political challenges and financial uncertainty mean both buyers and sellers are acting cautiously. This is undoubtedly affecting the market, making it slower and more uncertain.
