Mortgage Lending at a 3 Month Low
Further signs of a weakening in the housing market was signalled by the latest lending figures from the British Bankers Association (BBA), showing the number of people taking out a mortgage has fallen to its lowest level in three months.The figures show that during July, 66,965 home loans were approved for house purchase during the month, 1% fewer than in July 2006.
